WHAT MY STUDENTS SAY ABOUT MY WORK

Marcela is fantastic—engaging, relatable, and always connecting lessons to my real life so I can speak about what truly matters. Her handouts and worksheets are super useful, and she’s helped me build grammar and vocabulary that actually stick. Plus, she’s a joy to talk to, which makes learning Spanish fun and natural!

When I first moved to Mexico, I tried learning Spanish with apps and other tools, but I never got past the basics. I could recognize words, but I wasn’t able to really communicate. Everything shifted when I came to Argentina and began working with Marcela. From the start, she focused on getting me to speak—not just grammar drills, but real conversations about my daily life and the context of living in Buenos Aires. That approach made the language come alive for me, and I saw progress faster than I ever expected.

. I am a language learner enthusiast. I fell in love with Spanish in my late fifties. Learning Spanish is now part of my daily life. I was lucky to have found a teacher like Marcela who has never given up on me as she has been teaching me conversational Spanish since 2018. Marcela is not only patient with me, she makes me laugh and makes me realize not to take myself too seriously. I am so fond of her personality and teaching style that I finally made a trip to her beautiful city of Buenos Aires to see her in person. Marcela has been helping me to gain my confidence to speak and express myself in Spanish and dare to explore Argentina all by myself. I consider myself lucky to have met her as my professor and also as a kind friend.
